Competition terms
The terms for taking part in Modern Money Making trading competitions. Each competition's details are announced in the Discord.
1. Organiser
The competitions are organised by Modern Money Making, responsible person:
They take place in the Modern Money Making Discord. They are not sponsored, endorsed or run by Discord, Hyperliquid, TradingView or any partner.
2. Free to take part
Taking part is free. No purchase, deposit or payment is needed, and taking part does not depend on signing up with any partner. Trades are logged with our Discord bot and tracked against live market prices; no real money is traded through us.
3. Who can take part
- Anyone who is at least 18 years old and a member of the Modern Money Making Discord.
- One Discord account per person. Taking part with several accounts leads to disqualification.
- Taking part is not allowed where the law of your country forbids it.
4. How to enter
Your first trade logged with /trade during a competition enters you, and you count from that trade on.
If the announcement of a competition asks you to sign up first (for example with the sign-up form on this website and
an account at a partner), only signed-up traders take part.
5. Scoring and rules
Trades are scored in R as described under How scoring works. Each competition announces its dates, prize pool, daily trade limit, minimum stop distance and fees in the Discord before it starts. The records of our Discord bot are final.
6. Winners and prizes
- Winners are the traders with the highest net R when the competition ends (closed trades plus open trades at the last price), after any disqualifications.
- The prizes are the ones announced for that competition, paid out as stated in the announcement. If traders finish level, the prize for their places is shared equally.
- Winners are announced in the Discord and contacted there. To receive a prize, a winner has to reply within 14 days with the details needed for the payout; otherwise the prize can lapse.
- Prizes cannot be exchanged or transferred. Any taxes on a prize are the winner's responsibility.
7. Disqualification
A trader whose balance drops to zero or below is disqualified automatically. The organiser can also disqualify a trader and withhold a prize for manipulation, exploiting errors in the bot or price data, using several accounts, working together with others to gain an advantage, or breaking the Discord server's rules.
8. Changes and cancellation
The organiser can change, pause, shorten or cancel a competition for a good reason, for example technical problems, wrong price data or abuse. Changes are announced in the Discord.
9. No financial advice, liability
The competition is a self-reported tracker for entertainment and education. Nothing in it is investment advice, and we are not liable for trading decisions you make. Our liability for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health is unlimited; otherwise it is excluded as far as the law allows.
10. Your data
During and after a competition, your Discord display name, results and rank are published in the Discord and on this website. Details and your rights are in the privacy policy.
11. Final provisions
Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules; mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live remain unaffected. If one of these terms is invalid, the others remain valid.
